How to Make Money with AI Clipping — The Method 90% of People Don’t Know

Fardin Alam6 min read

A few days ago, a friend asked me: “Bro, everyone seems to be making money online, but I don’t have any skills, and I’m not the kind of person who wants to be on camera. Tell me something that actually works for an ordinary person.”

I gave him a one-line answer: learn AI Clipping.

His face was priceless. “What on earth is that?” And when I explained it, his first reaction was probably the same as yours right now: “That simple? Where does the money even come from?”

So today, let’s break it down properly. No hype, no fake “millionaire in a week” screenshots. Just the truth, because that’s why you read me.

First, understand what AI Clipping actually is

Imagine a big creator — a podcaster, a gamer, a motivational speaker. They have hours and hours of long videos. Now, if you pull out the most explosive 30 seconds from one of those videos and turn it into a short for Reels, TikTok or YouTube Shorts, that tiny clip can reach hundreds of thousands of people.

That’s the whole job. You cut other people’s long videos into short clips and post them.

The “AI” part comes in because the hard work — finding the right moment, cropping the video to the right size, adding captions — is now done by AI. You don’t need editing skills, you don’t need to show your face, and you don’t need to use your voice. The content already exists. You simply pick the best parts and post them.

That’s why I say this is the easiest door for anyone who wants to start earning online but doesn’t know where to begin. You don’t need to be an “influencer” first.

The real question: where does the money come from?

This is where most people get stuck. Why would anyone pay me to cut and post their own video?

The answer is simple. Big creators know very well that short clips are the fastest way to reach new audiences. But they don’t have the time to make 40–50 clips a day and post them across different platforms themselves. So they hand this work to people like you — and pay you based on views.

Why do they pay? Because attention is the most expensive thing on the internet. The new followers, views and sales a creator gets from those clips are worth many times more than what they pay you. They’re not making a losing deal — they come out ahead, and so do you.

This whole system has a name: content rewards, or pay-per-view campaigns. A brand or creator sets a budget, fixes a rate (for example, a certain amount per 1,000 views) and invites clippers. You make a clip, post it, submit the link — and money is added to your account based on the views. No flat fees, no negotiation, no invoicing hassle.

Rates usually range from one or two dollars up to five dollars per 1,000 views, depending on the campaign. If a single clip takes off and brings in 50,000 views, that one clip can pay quite well. And in a single day you can post several clips from several accounts. The math works itself out.

You only need two things

I won’t overcomplicate this. You basically need two kinds of tools.

First — an AI clipping tool that cuts long videos into short clips. Free options exist that automatically find the best moments, crop vertically and add captions, so the clip is ready to go. All you have to do is review it and post.

Second — a marketplace, meaning the website where brands and creators list their paid clipping campaigns and you pick them up. The best-known one right now is Whop, through its Content Rewards section. Which creator’s content to clip, which platforms to post on and the rate per 1,000 views — it’s all listed on each campaign.

That’s the entire setup. Make clips with one tool, get work from one website.

A truth nobody else will tell you

I’ll do here what I do on my channel — I won’t lie to you.

AI clipping is not a “get rich overnight” thing. Your first few clips might not perform at all, and that’s completely normal. Don’t panic. Every campaign has a minimum-views rule — if your clip doesn’t reach it, you don’t get paid for it. That’s why making two good clips is far better than making ten weak ones.

And most importantly — most people give up within two weeks. Those are the same people who later say “this doesn’t work.” The truth is, it absolutely works, but only for those who stick with it. AI does 90% of the work for you. The remaining 10% — posting daily, paying attention to what’s working, and not giving up — that’s the real difference.

Those who stay consistent are the ones who earn. Everyone else keeps making excuses. It’s that simple.

How to get started on a clipping marketplace (step by step)

  1. Create a free account on whop.com and open the Content Rewards / clipping section of the marketplace.
  2. Pick a campaign carefully. Before joining, check the rate per 1,000 views, which platforms are allowed (Shorts, Reels, TikTok, X), how much budget is left, and the campaign’s reviews or chat — to see whether other clippers are actually getting approved and paid.
  3. Read the rules. Every campaign sets its own minimum view count, required captions or tags, and banned content. Breaking a rule usually means your clip isn’t paid.
  4. Make and post your clip on the allowed platform, then submit the post link through the campaign page.
  5. Wait for review. Submissions are typically reviewed before views start counting, and earnings grow with views up to the campaign’s payout cap.
  6. Withdraw your earnings using the payout options available in your country. Check the withdrawal fees and supported methods before you start, because they vary by country.

Realistic rates: Most standard clipping campaigns pay somewhere around $0.50 to $3 per 1,000 views. Higher rates usually come with stricter requirements. Treat any campaign promising much more with caution.

Stay safe: Never pay anyone to “unlock” campaigns, and only clip content from campaigns that give you permission. Posting other people’s videos without permission can get your account struck for copyright.
